
Multi-spool holder for Wall Control Peg board and Prusa MMU2s

<p>Multi Spool holder for use with Wall control pegboard.<br/> This is an updated version of my previous spool holder (<a href="https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3329292">https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3329292</a>). Changes include:</p> <p>Complete redesign from scratch.<br/> Stronger build<br/> Removed the brake that is no longer required for MMU2s<br/> Assembly and disassembly are much easier, and no longer result in broken spool arms or spool wheel pins.<br/> The new design still uses the 608RS bearings, but in addition now also uses the metal rods that come with the Prusa MMU2 / MMU2s spool holders.</p> <p>Print:<br/> Arms = Number of spools +1<br/> Spool Wheel = Number of spools x2<br/> Spacers = Number of spools x4<br/> (optional) Bearing caps = Number of Arms</p> <p>Ie: if you want 5 spool holders to use with Prusa MMU2s, then you would need:</p> <p>6x Arms<br/> 10x Spool Wheel<br/> 20x Spacers<br/> 6x Bearing Caps (Optional)</p> <p>Assembly:</p> <p>Mount the arms on the wall control pegboard at the appropriate distance - 4 slots between arms (total width of six slots)<br/> Insert spacers into both ends of each spool wheel.<br/> Insert metal rods through spacers and spool wheels.<br/> Place a bearing on each end of the spool wheels on steel rods.<br/> Place assembly on arms<br/> Put the bearing caps on top of bearing/arm assembly (optional)<br/> See also the following optional items:<br/> Wall Control Filament Guide:<br/> <a href="https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/1626-wall-control-filament-guide">https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/1626-wall-control-filament-guide</a></p> <p>Wall Control Pegboard hooks for Prusa MMU2s filament buffer: <a href="https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/1628-prusa-mmu2s-filament-buffer-peg-hook">https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/1628-prusa-mmu2s-filament-buffer-peg-hook</a></p> <p>Wall Control Peg-board can be found on Amazon<br/> <a href="https://amzn.to/2VoL68A">https://amzn.to/2VoL68A</a></p> <h3>Print instructions</h3><p>The arms need to be printed with supports for the wall control hook, as well as the cavities where the bearings are inserted. The bearing caps also require supports for the cavities where the bearings fit.</p> <p>The spool wheel can be printed with no support. The end with the groove for the spool to ride in should be placed on the bed.</p>
