The new design features a dual-halves structure that sits on top of the Mendel90's gantry, holding a .5" rod for reel support. The right half also functions as a spacer for the Melzi board, replacing two small white ring spacers, and secures it to the gantry. Meanwhile, the left piece has screw clearance holes for attachment to the left gantry, although not currently secured. A 12.25" long steel rod is utilized between the pieces. However, due to Melzi board location, reels with a diameter larger than 8 inches may require modification.
