multi-purpose no touch tool / 無接觸工具

thingiverse

The work originated from a challenge initiated on Thingiverse, where designers were asked to create contactless tools. I wanted my design to be versatile and convenient to carry, so I focused on incorporating human hand functionality into it. The result is a tool that can be used to open door handles and press elevator buttons, as well as take banknotes and coins, books, and paper cups. I designed the tool with grooves that allow users to fix rubber bands or elastic bands, which helps to secure the tool in place with their fingers. The design allows for left- and right-handed use, making it easy to put on and take off, even with just one hand. To create this 3D model, I used SolidWorks software and implemented a bite pattern inside the design to increase friction. However, since the surface is still relatively smooth, I had to add foam tape to assist with contact and enhance friction. By combining these elements, I aimed to create an auxiliary tool that meets users' needs while being easy to use.
