Multi Material 2d
thingiverse
I've been experimenting with Multi Material 2D prints using a single extruder. I've uploaded the 3-color Rose STL and G-code files. The rose needs to be printed in three separate jobs. (The G-code files have already been aligned with each other, based on a 200mm print bed) I printed the rose red file first, then the rose green, and then the rose outline file last. After each print job finishes, I set my printer to preheat and change filament (pushing a little through the extruder to ensure the color has changed correctly). Before starting the next print, I pull the print bed away from the endstop switch and do the same with the extruder carriage. This helps when the printer autohomes back to the correct start position. Layer height is 0.2mm, print temperature is 205, bed temperature is 70, and the finished print height is 0.6mm.
