Multi Green Ammonite Fossil 3D Rendered Model

Fossils often emerge as a labor of love, and this is a perfect illustration of that. Sometimes they reveal a story too. This ammonite collection from the Jurassic green ammonite deposits of Charmouth, Dorset appears to have been compressed inside a larger Liparoceras ammonite shell. Yet, only remnants of the larger ammonite remain, possibly due to breaking apart from the pressure exerted by the smaller ammonites trapped in its body chamber. Several distinct species are preserved here, including Tragyphyloceras, Aegoceras? shells, and juvenile ammonite specimens. The largest ammonite measures 8.5 centimeters across, while the surrounding matrix measures 24 centimeters by 23.5 centimeters.
