Multi-Functional Web Shooter

Web shooter based off of the Amazing Spider-Man movie. This device features a versatile cartridge system with three interchangeable functions: a watch cartridge that displays accurate time, a web-shooting function that can be retracted back into the cartridge via a motorized mechanism, and a manual reload for thicker, more durable webs. The web shooter also boasts an advanced projectile detection system, which activates five bright green LEDs when it's ready to fire. This device was designed using Fusion 360 and fabricated on my Prusa i3 MK2 in blue PETG and clear polycarbonate materials. Crafting this web shooter required a total of six months of relentless prototyping and iteration. I consistently learned from numerous setbacks, but celebrated small victories and groundbreaking moments that fueled the project's progression. My primary takeaway (among many) from this process was that simplicity is key. The fewer complications and moving parts in a system, the easier it is to build and the higher likelihood that everything will function as intended.
