Filament spool holder designed for three spools, specifically engineered for Geeetech Prusa I3X printers. This innovative design features smooth movement on ball-bearing wheels that can be easily adjusted to accommodate various spool widths. The high-quality ballbearings boast a robust 12 mm outer diameter, 8 mm inner diameter, and a sturdy 3.5 mm width. Threaded rods with M8 threads provide a secure and reliable connection. To assemble the filament spool holder, you'll need to print two wheels (lagerhouder) that fit together perfectly. Simply place a bearing between them and secure with strong glue. The result is a seamless and durable wheel assembly. Next, print two cylindrical pieces that will serve as the foundation for the vertical rods. Mount these cylinders using thin screws under the back-corner pieces of your printer. These rods are designed to keep the cylinders in place, ensuring smooth operation. For added stability and support, place a cylinder with two small flaps on the printer's back side. This clever design not only keeps the rods in place but also provides a secure spot for the spools. On July 16, 2017, an improvement was made to this design. The original wheels (bearing holders) were found to be prone to breaking easily, so they were replaced with a more robust solution: a plastic pipe placed over the bearings. This modification has proven to significantly enhance the overall performance of the filament spool holder.
