Multi-extruder derived from the Prusa Multi Material 2 upgrade.

This is an attempt at creating an extruder for more 5 feeds of filament, using only two motors. This is to enable use of the e3d toolchanger, or other multi-head systems, without the requirement for an expansion board, on the Duet Wifi. I'm fairly confident this design will work just as well as the Prusa Multi-Material upgrade that it's based on, as I haven't modified any of the critical, functional parts, except to remove the redundant selector.

Modifications made to the parts include:

Increasing space, so that standard M3 nuts can be used.

Designing a clamp for PTFE tube press fittings.

Removing redundant material used for fitting the selector.

The source material came from: https://www.prusa3d.com/prusa-i3-printable-parts/

Prusa's license for referenced work is CC BY-SA 4.0 ... the same as I have chosen for this listing. Therefore, as far as I understand it, all derivative works of this model must contain information attributing it to Prusa, and must be licensed either under an equally open, or more open license.

The BOM is not exhaustive, but was created by carefully following the instructions found here; https://manual.prusa3d.com/c/Original_Prusa_i3_MK3_to_Multi_Material_2_upgrade

I'll hopefully also be able to explain how to set up a slicer to operate with this at some point, but I'm yet to convince e3d to let me on the toolchanging beta.

Some discussion of wiring on duet3d; https://forum.duet3d.com/topic/7039/wiring-and-extruding-using-an-e3d-toolchanger-without-a-duex
Category: 3D Printer Extruders
