multi deck box
thingiverse
I wanted to create a box that could hold two Magic: The Gathering decks sleeved with side decks. I added a pouch to the middle for dice and gave the walls a curve to make it easy to pull out the decks. I embedded "MTG" along the bottom to see if it would work, hoping it wouldn't be a copyright issue - but I'd love someone to let me know if I'm wrong! This was half an experiment to see if I could create a printable object using SketchUp and half a test of my printer's capabilities. Measuring 183mm longwise, the box worked out well on my Monoprice Maker Select V2, although I haven't tried printing the full-size lid yet. Print Settings: Printer: Monoprice 3D Maker Select V2 Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: .3mm Infill: 15% for case, 100% for small lid Notes: It's a long print, and it will warp if you don't use a raft. I had no trouble on the first try using hairspray and a raft. For some reason, 15% infill calculated faster than 20% in Cura. I used 100% infill for the lid because the walls are thin as is - so there was no point having the printer make so many tiny jagged movements. The walls are 3mm at the base, 2.1mm at the top, with the small lid wall being .9mm. The text is .3mm deep; I tried to keep everything in multiples of .3mm thinking it would make it easier to print.
