Multi-Column Customizable Card Box Organizer
thingiverse
Erik_uy created a highly customizable card box designer here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2120898. If you only need one column, use his design; it's simpler that way. However, I recently received the Star Realms Frontiers kickstarter and when customizing a box for it, the result was much larger than my printer could possibly handle. The solution was to add more columns! It turned out I mostly took Erik_uy's code and rewrote 60% of it to accommodate multiple columns, but his original design was an excellent starting point. This allows you to make various sizes of multiple columns to hold your cards, game pieces or whatever else you need. In my case, I made three columns: one for the game and expansions, another for player decks and command decks, and a third long narrow column for the rulebook and new boss cards. My custom box prints with the cards standing upright. The customizer is clever and adapts to different settings. For example, if one column is longer than the others, it fills in the extra space by increasing the divider thickness. You can always go back and add another space for cards to maybe leave room for future expansions or use less plastic.
