Multi-Colored Tri Spinner
thingiverse
I created a dual extrusion spinner, but then felt bad for everyone who doesn't have access to such capabilities. So, I came up with the modular tri spinner instead. First, print one of the bottoms and one of the tops in any color you want. Next, print two middle parts, each in its own unique color. And voila! You'll have a multi-colored tri spinner. I've been experimenting with fusing the four parts together using a soldering iron, which has proven to be an effective method. The bearing holds the center really well and slides into place smoothly once heated with a heat gun. Make sure to wear gloves when doing this, as the bearings can heat up quickly. To see the tri spinner in action, check out my YouTube video at https://youtu.be/IdIqoV1Paow. As for print settings, I used a Deltaprintr Assembled printer with the following parameters: no rafts or supports, a resolution of 0.2mm, and an infill percentage of 5%. Designing this project was a breeze thanks to Tinkercad. I employed a cool new technique - holding Ctrl+Shift while resizing parts around their center. This trick is especially useful when working with pinned objects like the pins used in this project.
