To achieve multicolored prints, initiate the process like a regular print. Determine when to switch colors and halt printing using software such as Pronterface. Lift the Z-axis by 10mm, positioning paper beneath the hot end to catch excess material. Switch filaments cautiously without moving the X carriage. Extrude approximately 5mm of new color. Remove the paper and lower the Z-axis back by 10mm to continue printing. This low-tech method is effective.
