Multi-Color Street Shark
thingiverse
My kid requested a shark and this gave me the perfect opportunity to convert a .stl file into a multi-color .stl file, something I'd been wanting to try for a while. I came across Street Shark and liked how the original creator made it look, but I didn't want to paint it myself. I've attached the .stl files needed to make the multicolor shark and also included the project file for my Prusa MK3S with MMU2, in case anyone else has this setup. Although I haven't printed it yet, I figured sharing would be a good idea since multi-color files are scarce. I'd like to give credit to ThinkBlender for creating such an awesome 3D model. It's amazing what you can do. 4/21/2020: Update - I added a bridge to support the shark's arms while it's printing, so supports wouldn't come down to the base. This was my only option after the first attempt ended with the support bridge unstuck from the print bed. I've also included a .3mf file for Prusa printer users and had to add a brim due to this issue. 4/25/2020: Update - After three attempts at printing StreetShark upright, I gave up. However, when I rotated it to lay on its back, the print finally completed. By doing so, I reduced the print time significantly. My kid was thrilled with how the shark turned out in the end.
