Multi color bee
thingiverse
I wanted to create a multi-colored bee model that's flat, with separate printing processes via Simplify3D. I'm not sure how easy it is to reproduce the required steps with other slicers. Order of printing: 1) Print the Multicolor_bee_black.stl file first. 2a) Next, print the Multicolor_bee_yellow.stl file. 2b) Then, print the Multicolor_bee_white.stl file. 3) Finally, print the Multicolor_bee_transparent.stl file. All layers should be printed with a 0.25mm layer height. The transparent top layer is optional but I use it to get a protective coating on the colored parts and achieve a uniform surface finish. The Onshape CAD model can be reused freely: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/45bf63128720052c9dfcb1b1/w/c7689b8e85e7d1b0b32319be/e/aca841ae85b58efa6aa54d62
