Since 2000, numerous fountains created by Hans Muhr have been strategically placed throughout Vienna thanks to generous sponsorship. These installations showcase Muhr's design prowess, with the notable Muhr fountain standing tall at nearly 1.5 metres high. Its foundation consists of a sturdy 1.3 metre high natural stone and cast bronze components. Atop this structure, three precision-crafted water jet arcs emanate from two carefully positioned nozzles, forming a distinctive "W" shape that pays homage to Vienna's name. The largest cast element serves as the fountain's front facade, seamlessly integrating with a small basin below it, which in turn drains into a discreet pipe and collects excess water in a nearby underground basin, serving as a convenient watering station for local animals. Supporting this arrangement are four bronze feet securely fastened to a solid stone block. Above the water outlet, a bronze plaque proudly displays the name of the sponsor, Anker company - Austria's leading baked goods producers. In a heartwarming gesture of friendship, similar fountains have been installed in Berlin, Budapest, Chicago, Geneva, Hong Kong, Leipzig and Stockholm as a symbol of goodwill between cities.
