Mug holder

My kids were keen to use their Disney mugs for a nightcap in bed, but there was one major drawback: if they spilled, water would leak everywhere. That's when I spotted a golden opportunity to 3D print something custom-made to suit my needs. I found the clever Coffee Cup holder that In_the_garage had created and decided to give it a creative spin for this specific purpose. To make it more functional, I carefully crafted a narrow channel on one side where the handle could slide into place. I also drilled two mounting screw holes, ensuring it would stay firmly in position. With a 3D printing project brewing in my mind, I hit print and opted to use glow-in-the-dark plastic for the custom mug holder. This way, even in the dead of night when everyone was sleeping, my kids could spot their favorite mugs easily in bed without straining their eyes or worrying about water spills. The design process was smooth sailing as it stood strong through all printing stages with only minor tweaking here and there to optimize settings for a better-looking finish. Print Settings I started by printing two units at once with a layer height of .2mm and zero support structures needed throughout the whole project since we were just making a simple, one-piece stand to hold their water cups securely in place on either side of the bed while keeping messes down with minimal cleaning involved during daily routines after each usage until ready to wash completely after multiple times over weeks or months following original print day.
