The handle on my favorite mug snapped off so I designed a makeshift holder to get the job done. It's not perfectly positioned but somehow it works well enough for daily use. The interior diameter of this temporary fix is an impressive 85mm top to bottom and 81mm side to side, respectively - dimensions that just might fit your needs if you're in the same bind as me. Incidentally, I built this thing using SketchUp but I've been baffled by its inability to create genuine round circles; can anyone out there shed some light on the secret to success? Here are the technical details if you're interested: it's 0.3mm thick, 30% infilled with no foundation and no support required - basic, but effective.
