Muffin Rocket (Dough Doser)
myminifactory
Baking muffins is an absolute blast - filling paper cups, not so much. Especially when the dough is ridiculously runny, it's almost impossible to prevent spills everywhere. That's precisely why I created this Muffin Rocket! It's basically a hopper with three sturdy feet and a slide that can be inserted into the side of the hopper through a small opening. All you have to do is insert the slide and pour in the dough, and you're ready to go! Simply hover the rocket above a paper cup and pull the slide halfway out. The dough (or anything similar) will flow out smoothly and can be dosed by pushing the slide back in. I put this model to the test, and after the first round of muffins, it had already proven itself incredibly useful. Plus, it's designed for easy washing. SAFETY DISCLAIMER PLA plastic is supposedly food safe, so you should only use PLA plastic with this model. Since the dough is only in contact with the rocket for a brief moment at room temperature, it should be relatively safe to use. However, please do so at your own risk! 3D printed objects aren't generally recommended for food applications due to their material and potential contamination risks. Be sure to wash it thoroughly before and after each use. On the bright side: I'm still kicking after using this.
