Mudguard for electric skateboards, 150mm & 175mm wheels

<p>We had some very strong rain and I need my Meepo hurricane to commute to work (sold my car). I know that the hurricane is water/ splash proof but unfortunately I am not :0<br>A wet road will get you completely covered in muddy water, so I started designing an testing a universal solution as I cant be the only one having that problem. They are designed for ease of use (universal fit) without interfering with your feet (outside mount).</p><p>These mudguards will be mounted from the outside, you do not need to take of the wheels, just take of the M8 nut (leave the washer on), pop on the mud guard and tighten the nut.</p><p>Requirements:<br>- axle with 8mm (M8) diameter, part of the axle where the wheel is sitting<br>- 2-3mm extra thread (see photo)</p><p>You can use the "front wheel" file for all 4 wheels if you like or you use the one specifically designed for the rear wheels. These ones are slightly larger and cover the belt as well, it is actually throwing quite a bit of water at you, when the road is really wet.</p><p>All files have universal fit, NO left and right!</p><p><br>This is my first design, any suggestions for improvements or different wheel sizes are welcome.<br>Any donations / tips are much appreciated, thank you!</p><p>In action:<br><a href="https://youtube.com/shorts/PWk6tO-kmek?feature=share">https://youtube.com/shorts/PWk6tO-kmek?feature=share</a></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Printing Tips</strong></p><p>- I'm using a 0.6mm nozzle and low resolution (0.4 - 0.5) for speed. Doesn't have to be pretty;)</p><p>- you just need supports for the part that is sitting around the axle (see "how i desgned this")</p><p>- I would recommend using ABS for extra durability, in the video you will see the PLA version on the right (light grey) and ABS on the left (black). Both work fine but I assume ABS will last longer.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Finish</strong></p><p><strong>You can use a waterproof glue, like wood glue, to seal the printing layers for additional strength and easier cleaning.&nbsp;</strong><br><strong>Any glue that can be applied with a brush.</strong></p>
