The ACR4 Crate from MTM is an ideal enclosure for housing electronics associated with RGB lighting used in animated light shows, thanks to its weather-tight design. However, when it comes to accommodating power supplies like the 1200-watt HP slot server type, heat can become a significant concern. This vent mounts under the handle on each narrow side of the enclosure and can be utilized with or without fans. Both 40mm x 10mm and 40mm x 20mm fans are compatible up to this vent. The vent was specifically designed to capture M3 nuts on the backside, with M3 screws going through the fan mounting holes, through the wall of the enclosure, and into the vent. To print the stl file, I split it in half using Prusa Slicer and printed the flat surfaces down on the print bed. The files include a PDF drill template that should be placed on the outside of your enclosure, near the bottom, with the marks for the lower holes visible. Using a 1/8" drill bit, drill four holes through the template. Remove the template and transfer it to the inside of the enclosure, lining up the lower holes previously drilled, then drill the remaining holes. The two large holes required for airflow should be no larger than 1 7/16", necessitating a hole saw for this step.
