MTG Life Counter

This screw design serves as a life counter in the widely played card game, Magic: The Gathering. It comprises of a basic screw-mate combination with numbers engraved between its threads on the screw, while a viewing port is carved out from the mate to highlight a specific number. By rotating the screw into and out of the mate, players can promptly adjust their life total. Tracking life totals is essential in Magic as it prevents cheating. The conventional method uses 20-sided dice; however, this system is not preferred due to several drawbacks, such as limited value to 20 and easy rolling that may lead to errors or dishonesty. The MTG Life Counter Screw overcomes these issues by featuring a maximum of 29 values, enhanced stability, retaining its value even after falls, and discouraging the use of easily manipulated 20-sided dice.
