MTG Cube Tray for Two Players
prusaprinters
Tray holding 4 boosters of 15/14/13/12 cards to play Magic: the Gathering Cube in a 1v1 setting.6 needed for the whole 2-player draft.Cut-outs on corners are there to help with taking trays out easier from the storage box.Basic idea behind drafting a cube with only 2 participants:6 Trays get filled each with 4 Boosters of 15, 14, 13, and 12 cards. Rest of the cards are discarded. Each player takes 1 tray of 4 boosters, takes 1 pack out of it one at a time, picks 1 card, discards 3 and puts remaining cards back to the tray to the same slot he took them from.Example: P1P1, Player A takes a 15 card booster out of the first slot on the tray, picks 1 card, then chooses 3 other cards and discards them. Puts back remaining 11 cards to the first slot on the tray. Players do the same procedure with packs containing 14, 13, and 12 cards in them putting back 10, 9, and 8 cards. Players exchange trays with each other. Players draft again 1 card and discard 3 out of packs they got from an opponent, leaving 7, 6, 5, and 4 cards in them, and exchange trays once again and draft until empty. Players do the same with next 2 trays each until each player drafted 45 cards out of all 6 trays.P.S. The same idea can be used for a 4-player draft with 12 trays with 2 slots containing 15 and 14 cards. Previous version had numbering cut-outs, but cards often got stuck and that could lead to damaged sleeves. You can add annotations to make keeping track of how many cards to put back easier.
