MTG: 3D lifecounter frame
thingiverse
Create your own lifecounter by using Magic cards; an innovative approach is to print a frame and use fewer cards. Discover a comprehensive thread about making 3D stacked card lifecounters here: http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?t=241006. Update your design with the latest .skp and .stl files. From November 26, 2013 onwards! To begin, print out the frame and collect several identical Magic cards. Cut out the pictures of these cards. Attach one uncut card to the bottom of the frame and another cut card to the top with holes aligned to the frame. Stack the pictures onto the upper frame box to create a 3D effect. Finally, buy pearls and use them to make an abacus-style life counter for the lower box. Show off your creation to friends while playing games!
