My aunt got me the MTX-8144 for Christmas. It's not my Microtek double edge kbar, but it's a nice gift. As soon as I got home, I honed the edge to a razor as I do with all my knives and let's just say that nylon sheath didn't last about four draws before it was done. So I went to my computer and did a fast CAD of this. I did a fast print at 0.5 res using PETG for proof of concept, cleaned up a few things, decreased the thickness by about 3.5-4 mm overall, and here it is for anyone needing one. I have a set of sides for left-hand and right-hand users, and they are labeled as such. I prefer a scout sheath for this type of knife, so it's set up that way, but there is an adapter with it. Just print the adapter, slide it through the loops, and it's a standard belt carry as well. I tried to make this as easy as possible for anyone to print, which is why it's in parts - if not supports had been needed, that would have been a problem. Print the parts and glue them together; if you use PETG, any acrylic glue will work. I use "16 Fast Set" by IPS for PETG. I consider this a work in progress as I will be cutting the edges down, tweaking it, and finally adding a graphic to the top of the sheath for a nice finish product look.
