MTB SRAM X9 10 speeds rear shifter internal cable puller mechanism (2012)
prusaprinters
After a fall on my MTB I destroyed an internal part of my Sram X9 rear shifter. For fun, I decided to design a 3D printable version of the part and see if I could repair de mechanism. After a few iterations I had a working design that, to my surprise, seem quite robust. It is installed on my bike for a year now and it hasn't failed yet. The shifter feel is also pretty good.I am not sure if that model will ever be useful to anyone else, but since it is working well, I figure I could publish it any ways. The model is made of 4 parts. It is possible to do this geometry into a single part, however due to the way the part is mechanically loaded, the print orientation need to be different at some specific region. That is why the part is segmented. Due to the way this part is assembled, there is no need to glue together the parts.I think this is for a 2012 model, I don't know if other years have the same internals.** I am not responsible of the consequences of a failure of this part
