I built this thing for my wife's bike, which was lacking a chain guard to shield pants from getting dirty by the chain. I made it fit a 5-hole 110mm diameter chain ring with approximately 65mm between the holes. The chain ring here is a Shimano Deore LX. It attaches securely to the chain ring using self-fitting pins and the Inbus screws of the ring, holding quite tight!
