MTB Bar Extensions

thingiverse

Mountain bikers upgrade their handlebars with 10mm bar extensions, boosting the width from 740mm to 760mm. These extensions are specifically designed for use with lock-on grips that feature a locking mechanism on the inside of the grip, such as the Ergon GE1 model. Avoid attaching anything directly to these extensions. A 7mm hole is drilled into the interior of the extension, providing an escape route if you get stuck. If the grip and extension become wedged together, simply insert a length of 8mm threaded rod or "all thread" or a long 8mm bolt into the extension's hole to pry it loose. The Renthal Fatbar Lite is showcased in the images accompanying this text.
