MT3608 Micro USB DC-DC boost case
thingiverse
This is a case designed specifically for the versatile 2A Micro USB boost converters found in abundance on AliExpress. The chip utilized here is an MT3608, although it's labeled as "B6286 (K)". For testing my 12v projects from a 5v USB powerbank without needing to fire up the bench supply, I rely heavily on these boost converters. Since they can output up to 28v, I thought creating a custom case for them would be a great idea. A hole is drilled into one side of the case for easy access to the potentiometer using a screwdriver. You might consider making the case about 1-2mm narrower and positioning the potentiometer so it protrudes from the side, which could look quite sleek. The design features rounded corners for smooth printing and a press-on lid that doesn't require any glue. Print Settings: Printer: FlashForge Creator Pro 2016 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.18mm Infill: 100% Notes: I've successfully printed this case using FlashPrint with PLA in both 0.30mm/15% infill and 0.18mm/100% infill for added rigidity and a smoother finish.
