This is a "shim" piece for the mt32-pi MiSTer HAT that goes between the circuit board and the top plate to cover the open edges of the stacked boards. Designed for use with 8mm standoffs and the right-hand-side USB port only. See photo for assembly guidelines when using with the Ugeek/Geekworm aluminium case. The aluminium case's standoffs have short female screwholes, and most standoffs have a 6mm male thread, which will "bottom out" before fullly tightening the PCB down. Therefore, try to find M2.5x8mm standoffs with a shorter male thread, maybe around 3-4mm. Or, you can do as I did and use a Dremel to trim the threads shorter. **New:** Versions with ON/OFF text for the power switch now included. **New:** A version with space and 3.5mm jack cutout for a GY-PCM5102 DAC module has been added. This lets you "hack" the HAT with a high-quality analog output by soldering wires onto the protruding GPIO header pins. **No-standoff alternative:** Versions with smaller holes are included in case you don't want to use standoffs. In this case, you can use long (~12mm) M2.5 cap screws to go through the top PCB, shim, and bottom PCB directly into the aluminium case.
