This is a highly detailed scale model of Mt. St. Helens, located in Washington state. The data was sourced directly from the USGS National Map, specifically a 1/9 Arc Second DEM (Digital Elevation Model) file format. To create this impressive model, the raster file was imported into QGIS and then processed using the powerful DEMto3D plugin tool. By setting the scale to 1:50000, the finished model measured in at 158mm x 191.3mm x 38.5mm.
