Mount Shasta, the southernmost peak of the Cascade range, stands at an impressive 14,179 feet above its neighboring plain. As a prominent volcano and popular destination for climbers, it attracts thousands annually. A photo displays the mountain printed in two different resolutions - .3mm and .1mm slices, created using Makerware on a FlashForge 3D printer with ABS material. The image is part of a "collectible mountains" series where each model is rendered at a 1:100,000 scale, representing an area of 10km x 10km. These models sit at sea level for accurate comparisons, such as the size difference between Everest and Mt Shasta.
