Mt Shasta 10km Collectible Mountain

At 14,179 feet, Mt. Shasta stands tall as the southernmost peak of the Cascade range, its majestic form dominating the surrounding plain. Thousands of aspiring climbers flock to this iconic volcano every year, drawn by its allure. The photograph shows the mountain sliced into thin layers, one printed in .3mm slices and the other in .1mm slices, both precision-crafted using Makerware and a FlashForge printer with ABS material. This is part of my "Collectible Mountains" series, where each model is painstakingly rendered at 1:100,000 scale to capture every nuance. The area represented by this model measures 10km x 10km, with the base situated at sea level, allowing for a precise comparison between mountains. Have you ever pondered just how much larger Everest is than Mt. Shasta? Now, with these models in hand, you can make that comparison firsthand.
