Welcome to Wax's Maps! We convert free, public mapping data into bite-sized 3D printable files using GIS software for areas of interest that are meaningful to ourselves or others. Our maps have already been optimized in terms of complexity and height scaling to ensure they look their best. If you want a lot of detail, print the maps at 0.1-layer height, but if you prefer topographic lines, try printing them at 3.0+ layer height. Most of our maps are pre-scaled to be 10x10cm squares, which makes them perfect for wall art when scaled up by 25-50%. The best part? No supports are needed, and they look amazing when you switch up the colors like we've done in the photos. If there's an area or mountain that hasn't been mapped yet but holds special meaning to you, feel free to let us know and we'll add it to our queue - new maps are always being created!
