Mt Dew Willie the Hillbilly Hand Replacements
thingiverse
These hands are replacements for the iconic 1960's Mt Dew Willie the Hillbilly statue that was used to promote Mt Dew products in general stores and gas stations. A customer sent me a dilapidated hand that was almost into pieces with a request to reproduce a pair of replacement hands. After searching online for several hours it was determined that there just wasn't any model available for this project. Utilizing 3D scanning equipment and modeling software the replacements were able to be recreated. If you like what I'm doing here, please consider making a small donation.*This model was produced using Creality Scan Lizard 3D Scanner and refined with Autodesk Meshmixer software. It was sliced using PrusaSlicer so the wrist section and hand section could be divided. The Wrist needed to be hollow to accept the mounting hardware and the hand needed to have infill to print properly.
