Elevation profile map of the island's eastern hilly region. Elevation scales up twice on this map for clarity. Noticeably, the dark PLA material predominantly appears as highlights. For a more balanced view of both highlights and shadows, consider using a lighter-toned material. Printed in MakeBot Replicator 2, using standard settings (0.2 mm layer height), 10% infill, and two shells on a plexiglass plate coated with BuildTak tape. Printing at room temperature took about eight minutes twenty seconds. A total of 0.32 pounds of filament was used. An accompanying STL file, based on the model shown in the image, includes break-away tabs designed to mitigate warping issues during printing and larger lettering in the legend for easier reading. The stl file remains unchanged from its original form unless you wish to modify it as needed. The itemized workflow attached in an Excel file provides guidance for creating similar designs. However, using this Excel sheet is not essential to print the included stl file.
