MST3k Crow Eye Mechanism
thingiverse
This pulley system, designed for Crow from Mystery Science Theater 3000, allows for precise operation of his eyes. It can be customized by adjusting the wheel radius or seeking advice from the designer. The design is still a work in progress and input for improvements is welcome. Credit goes to Best Brains Inc. for Crow's design, while the pulley system was created as an improvement over the styrene-in-dowel system found online. A major update on 12/14/2015 addressed issues with rotation and eye movement. Instructions are provided for printing at 0.2mm height with focus on structural strength. Assemble parts A, B2, and C, drill holes in ping-pong ball eyes, and thread puppet string through B2's holes to operate Crow's eyes.
