MSM Polar Scope Shim

MSM Polar Scope Shim

thingiverse

This is a shim I created to reduce or remove the slop between the polar scope and metal bracket. This helps a great deal when aligning to Polaris for deep sky photography and provides a much tighter fit for greater accuracy. The shim should be used with the newer mounting blocks that have a split internal diameter for the laser pointer and scope. The shim sits in the larger opening and allows the scope to slide in from either direction. The hole is provided for extra security and should be lined up with the nylon screw to lock everything in place. Beats gumming everything up with tape!
