MS-Delta Frame
thingiverse
MS-Delta is a delta-style 3D printer designed to be built by another 3D printer. Most of the frame is based on "My Delta Printer" by Robkar, which can be found on Thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:923830). 20x20 extrusions were used for the frame and 8mm steel rods for the sliders. M4 cheese head Allen screws were used as much as possible. The base model of the carriage is included in this design, but if you're not using one of the designed effectors, be sure to modify it accordingly. The modified carriages are part of the effector designs, so make sure to take that into account when modifying the base carriage. Here's a parts list for building MS-Delta: To print: * 3 x Bed mount * 3 x Top corner * 3 x Bottom corner * 6 x Rod holder * Various M4 inserts (2020 extrusion) - available on Thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1573410) To buy: * 76 x M4 bolts (12mm) * 16 x M4 bolts (14mm) * 12 x M4 bolts (8mm) * 78 x M4 screws * 3 x M3 screws (25mm - idler pulley screw) * 12 x M3 screws (10mm - motor mounting) * 3 x 660mm 20x20 aluminum extrusion * 9 x 330mm 20x20 aluminum extrusion * 6 x 8mm stainless rods (~580mm long) * GT2 belt (6mm) * GT2 16-tooth idler pulley (6mm) * GT2 16-tooth driver pulley * Small cable ties for endstop mounting * 250mm round glass bed Electronics: * Ramps and Arduino combo with stepper drivers * Nema 17 motors (48mm, 0.9°) * Power supply (an old CPU power supply was used in this build) * 3 x endstops * Miscellaneous wiring This design is just the frame for MS-Delta. Some feet were designed to lift the printer off the surface and provide room for electronics mounting. Squash balls are also used to provide grip and vibration absorption.
