The MS CubeSat is designed with two frames, a main frame and a lid frame, ensuring easy assembly and dismantling. Manufacturing options include SLS (selective laser sintering) and FDM (fused deposition modelling), with nylon or aluminium as possible materials; however, SLS offers more economical production. The approximate weights for nylon and aluminium parts are 92-98g and 220-230g, respectively. To assemble the CubeSat, all PCBs and payloads can be fastened together and inserted diagonally opposite into the main frame, which is then closed with the lid frame. Solar panels and cover plates are secured using appropriate-sized fasteners. The design boasts fewer parts for the CubeSat frame and allows for quick, easy assembly and disassembly.
