MRRF 2019 Fun Lanyard Tags
thingiverse
I thought it would be a blast to create some lanyard tags that you all could print out and wear to the 2019 Midwest Rep Rap Festival. The idea first started when talking with Alien3D and coming up with the "Take me to your MRRF 2019." Since then, it has evolved into several different designs for various companies and community members. These are designed so that anyone who wants to print them can do so without needing to use a multi-material system. A simple filament swap is all you need to change colors. I use the Pause at layer height feature in Cura's post-processing. I'm tagging this as a work-in-progress because I have several tags I'm currently test-printing that I hope to release soon, showing appreciation for those companies and their amazing products. The running list includes: 1. Alien3D - Known for their incredible UFO filament monthly subscription and bonus accessories and projects - TAKE ME TO YOUR MRRF 2019. 2. Joel Telling/3D Printing Nerd - Famous for his fantastic YouTube videos and general enthusiasm over all things 3D printing - MRRF Highfives (available in both left and right hand versions, whichever way you give a high five). 3. IC3D - A remarkable company that's very into Open Source - There are three files: one with letters going bottom-up with layers, another with letters going top-down with layers, and the third is just straight up one layer for letters. 4. 3DGloop - If this one doesn't stick to you, then I don't know what will! There are two versions here: Get Glooped and I'm Stuck on both have the logo and I know they'd be thrilled to see you print this one and wear it to MRRF 2019. 5. FilamentOne - A little birdie told me you had a new saying, so I hope you have a great time getting your glint on at MRRF 2019! Huge thanks to Cathy on Twitter for test-printing this one for me! Give her a follow @spud01au 6. MatterHackers - Another little birdie told me to make one for Matter Hackers, so I made two! One says "Hack all the things!" and the other says "We have TACOS." One day, I'll make it there and try these famous tacos. 7. REPKORD - One part of a trio of awesome community members who host CommunityKetchup and also make the REPBOX. You have two options to print for this one: Up your Spooling Game or Turn a mess into a-mazing. 8. Aussies Know how to Play - Rugby, Cricket, and 3D Printing. There are two versions depending on the type of ball being used for Rugby. 9. 3D Pink Mafia - Another from the awesome trio of Community Ketchup. The mafia boss really likes her pink. These are currently being test-printed but I see no issues with them. 10. SnoLabs - An amazing filament company who has been very supportive to me through samples and filament for both trying and using in my classroom. They've even donated one of their printers to my school to help us continue growing our STEM/STEAM education. There are two versions here: one with MRRF 2019 and one without.
