I was driven by the mako to add a 3D printed exoskeleton to one of my favorite quads. Recently, I had lost some electronics due to water damage and thought this would help keep things dry and free from lawn trimmings. Originally, I designed things around the stock 35mm stand-offs and will include that version, although it isn't as refined as the final design, it is functional. After my first iteration, I realized things could be made to fit under 30mm stand-offs and ran with that idea, ending up using them for my final model. To build this exoskeleton, you'll need a flight controller (FC) with the USB mounted in the center; an offset like the Naze wouldn't be accessible through the hole. I used two sets of 6mm nylon stand-offs to mount the power distribution board and FC, ensuring things lined up for USB access requires the same. You will also need a video transmitter (vtx) with a pigtail. Print Settings Printer: I3 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: .2 Infill: 100% Notes: I used ABS plastic and have had issues with the vtx antenna mount, so I've ordered TPU to replace it.
