MR5 Robotic Track System

MR5 Robotic Track System

This Robotic track system has been operating in my classroom for two years now. It's incredibly strong, robust, and maintainable, which is why it continues to be a vital part of our teaching tools. The model I'm using is the track-only version, but it comes equipped with a mount specifically designed for Pololu 25D series motors. Additionally, there's a frame mount that I utilized during prototyping, as seen in the purple and yellow images of my tankbot. This particular setup proved to be remarkably durable, withstanding a significant 3kg rig used by 14-year-old students for four semesters. The only instance where it failed was when they drove it off a table. To see this system in action, I've uploaded a video to YouTube - you can check it out here: https://youtu.be/EVI0HyWWj3E Unfortunately, I'm not at liberty to share the original CAD files used to design this system. However, all necessary parts and printing instructions are available within a comprehensive PDF Assembly Guide that's been uploaded online.
