Mr. Bendy Quite Contrary How Does Your Lumbar Flow
thingiverse
I saw a lifting demonstration model on one of my FB groups - it's still a work in progress because I don't have my printer right now, so unfortunately I won't be able to test how well all the pieces fit together based on joint simulations alone though. To assemble this model, you'll need to thread a length of elastic through the ventral neck hole, then down through the lumbar pieces, around the pelvis, and up through the lumbar pieces again before finally pulling it out through the dorsal neck hole. Secure the ends with a knot at either end. All jointing holes are perfectly sized for m3 screws - just give them a little drill out to fit snugly. Ideally, you should place a washer between each joint for added stability. Nylon washers might work well here too - I've yet to try them out though, so that could be an interesting development. The planned modifications include adding keying to the lumbar pieces to ensure they align properly and stay in place when the elastic is taut. At present, these pieces are flat, but even with the elastic holding them together, I'd like a more reliable way of keeping everything aligned.
