Mr Beam II origin
thingiverse
Using the Mr Beam II laser cutter as a reference point makes things easier because its working space is slightly larger than where the laser actually operates. I place mine in the bottom-left corner, which helps me establish my origin at the intersection of two inner sides. This approach simplifies using the standard coordinate system, reducing reliance on the sometimes inaccurate camera. Having two cutters allows for a straightforward way to frame and align work pieces along the x-axis. Key measurements include: x_dist: 6.0 mm y_dist: 7.5 mm I made mine out of PLA, which is easy to use and provides good results despite its simplicity.
