Mr. Bassan patented hinge tribute
thingiverse
This is a tribute to my father's patented hinge, which he invented in the 60s and remains a testament to his ingenuity. A model of this joint mechanism is showcased here, but it must be noted that due to the limitations of FDM plastics, this design cannot be used in actual applications; instead, the real hinge is crafted from brass or steel. One of its standout features is the way it disappears completely when closed, and in the 70s, it gained prominence as a key component in the iconic Micchel Prisma turntable transparent case. Due to the model's substantial size, scaling it down will be necessary for successful assembly. To assemble this intricate piece, you will need to print a total of 2 bodies, 6 levers, 6 washers, 4 screws, 2 lateral pins, 2 internal pins, and 1 middle pin (pivot). Refer to the provided assembly pictures for detailed guidance.
