For those looking to use Superpro or 034 camber plates with their MQB vehicles and still be able to tighten/loosen their strut nut while the strut is already installed, this solution should work across the entire MQB VAG range. It's a cleaner option than cutting off your entire strut tower with a cutoff wheel. I've also included a 2.5in version for plates with caster adjustment like Whiteline and Vorshlag, etc. Note that you'll likely still need to remove the strut to change the caster setting since some of the adjustment screws remain hidden, but at least you can retighten the nut - an issue common to all MQB cars. I used a 2in OD Lenox holesaw, but any good HSS metal holesaw will do the job. Apply plenty of lubricant (Rapid Tap worked for me) and proceed slowly, as excessive downward pressure is unnecessary. This setup allows you to use a 2in/2.5in sheet metal plug to cover up the hole for that OEM+ look (available on eBay or Amazon): https://www.caplugs.com/flush-button-plugs-bpf Reach out to me on golfmk7 for more details (username: burgerkong).
