Constructed for personal use, it boasts a 8ft wingspan; required wing adjustments to perform optimally under real-world conditions. MQ-1 Predator drones were employed in combat missions. In response to escalating demands, General Atomics reengineered the Predator without initial Air Force funding, resulting in the MQ-9 Reaper's conception. Key differences between the MQ-1 and MQ-9 include size, mission, payload capacity, speed, and range. The MQ-9 Reaper primarily serves as an attack UAV (hunter-killer), carrying substantially more armament.
