MPX-PDW Cheek Weldr

ATF approved my Form 1 today! Time to convert my Sig Sauer MPX-P into a highly compact MPX-PDW! This marks the beginning of my journey with NFA restricted firearms, where a barrel under 16 inches is considered particularly intimidating. Only 123 days passed before approval allowed me to attach my stock to what was formerly regarded as a pistol. What a relief! Although the telescoping stock on my MPX SBR/PDW is impressive, its cheek weld falls short. This prompted me to create the CHEEK WELDR. I designed it to mimic the cheek weld of an AR with a Magpul CTR stock, allowing me to reinforce my muscle memory for using my rifle and optics while employing the MPX SBR/PDW. The CHEEK WELDR positions the upper portion of a mock buffer tube, along with a CTR stock when fully extended, in a way that replicates the cheek weld found on an AR-15. This gives me a similar shooting experience! Once printed and postprocessed, simply extend the MPX-TELE stock to its full position and press down to install the CHEEK WELDR. It will look like the render with translucent plastics. Print Settings: I recommend printing CTR-full.stl with 30% infill and any suitable shells. Although it's just a cheek rest, printing in ABS will help resist sun damage if you shoot outdoors. A raft and supports are necessary. Next, print Tele-Clamp.stl with 100% infill and any suitable shells. Ideally, print this vertically, but if that doesn't work for you, try printing it "dead bug" with the curly clamp faces up and the flat surface on the build platform. No support or raft should be required if printing in this manner. Post-Printing: Remove the rafts and supports, glue the parts together, and file to fit (it's supposed to be tight). How I Designed This: I intended for it to be modular, so if I upgrade to a Magpul UBR or something impressive, I can simply swap out the top plate. If I do that, I'll probably use screws instead of glue. But this is a quick and dirty solution, and it doesn't require much plastic.
