MPSM 25mm Lift Skirt and Panels
thingiverse
This custom lift kit was designed to be used in conjunction with 25mm M-F M3 standoffs. I obtained mine from http://www.ebay.com/itm/322121559859?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&var=511043842658&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT, which also came with nuts to secure the threads in the machine itself. This design was intended to accommodate a Raspberry Pi inside the machine with the main board flipped 180 degrees to completely enclose the USB cable. Most of these parts are not printable on the MPSM. However, I have uploaded two-piece versions for the front and back that can be printed on the MPSM. The full piece versions, as well as the side panels shown in the pictures, were printed on my Maker Select V2. The rear panel allows my cable chain mod to be installed without drilling any holes into the cabinet. However, unlike the original drill version, you will need longer wires for this, especially if your board is flipped. I have uploaded files for three different positions as my original upload was remixed to put the chain in the middle of the bed. You'll also need to do some soldering to get the power switch to the front, as the positive wire off the barrel plug is not long enough. The gantry brace for the right side doesn't appear to be lined up perfectly. I uploaded an offset bracket for the bearing holder that attaches to the X-axis, and it's working fine on my unit. I've also uploaded just a vented right side panel if you're not doing the brace. *PLEASE NOTE* While I was printing the second set for my V2, I noticed that some issues with the screw holes on the gantry brace panel that I thought were fixed were still present. Panel_Right_Brace_Repaired.stl has now been uploaded. The left side panel features two keystone jacks for whatever you want. I'm just using one for an ethernet jack to go to the Pi right now, and I've also relocated the 60mm fan mount to allow you to put the fan inside the cabinet. If you can't find any of the files for something pictured, please check the "Remixed from" section. I don't upload files that I didn't create or edit. If you still can't find it, ask and I'll see if I can find it. I'm heavily encouraging remixing this to see what else you put on the front / back. *YES*, everything should work on the V2. I'm currently waiting on the standoffs for my V2 for this kit. In case you're wondering about my awesome spool holder, check out https://www.thingiverse.com/Geonovast/collections/mp-spool-holder.
