MPPT 5A SOLAR CONTROLLER DC-DC STEP DOWN BUCK MODULE, CONST. VOLTAGE & CURRENT CONVERTER
grabcad
The 5A solar controller DC-DC step down buck module features a non-isolated buck design (BUCK) with an input voltage range of 6 to 36V and continuously adjustable output voltage between 1.25V and 32V (default output is 5V). The MPPT voltage setting range is 6 to 36V, while the output current ranges from 0.05A to 5A with a default output current of 3A. The turn light output range is between 0.01A and 5A, with a default turn lamp current of 0.3A. Operating temperatures range from -40°C to 85°C, with an operating frequency of 180 KHz and conversion efficiency up to 95% (efficiency varies based on input and output voltage, current, and pressure). The module includes short circuit protection and over-temperature protection that automatically shuts off the output after overheating. Input reverse polarity protection is not included, so a diode must be added if necessary. Output over-discharge protection is also not included; the output must connect to a battery plus blocking diode or risk damaging the module. The module measures 60 x 31 x 22mm (without meter) and has multiple applications, including powering high-power LEDs, electronic devices, observing battery charge states, serving as a car power supply for cell phones and digital products, DIY voltage regulators with constant current function and short-circuit proof, and charging various batteries with MPPT function to enhance charging current and prevent overcharge, effectively protecting the battery.
